2014 Theme: Focus on allotments

INTRODUCTION

During the first study session organized by the Nordic League is the promotion of the allotment and leisure gardens was discussed. It was noted by speakers from outside our own group, that we are focused too much on our self and too little on the world around us. After we have analyzed in Copenhagen (Denmark) in 2011 who the future gardener will be, it is time to look at how we can show all the beautiful elements of our gardens and garden sites to the world around us. This theme we will discuss in the next three years. The line of the theme will be guarded by a central analyst/coordinator. This person monitors during the study sessions in 2012 and 2013 the elaboration of the theme and gives at the opening of the International Congress in 2014 a presentation of the work and conclusions of the two preceding years Ton Thuis, vice chairman of the AVVN, is the central analyst.

2012 – SWITZERLAND

In Switzerland the strengths and weaknesses of our hobby and our parks will be discussed. How does the world around us looks at us, how does the public, the media and politicians look at us and value our hobby and our parks. On the basis of the discussion a strength-weakness analysis can be created.
