Garden Sites Utrecht

Utrecht has 14 garden sites that are managed by an association. They have a wide diversity of garden types, from vegetable gardens to leisure gardens. During the congress 2014 we will visit several of these garden sites. We wil give you a short introduction of the beautiful garden sites of Utrecht.

In alphabetical order:

Abstede (1985)

An allotment site with 65 gardens. The site is located almost in the centre of Utrecht, enclosed by houses and was and was developed in 1985. In most of the gardens vegetables and fruit is grown. 

Briljant (1975)

A small allotment site in one of the older parts of Utrecht. The site has 28 vegetable gardens. The site was developed in 1975. 

De Doordouwers (1999)

A relatively new site in one of the recreation areas north of Utrecht. The site was developed in 2004 and has 100 gardens.
