Organizational stucture

The President

The President of the Office is the Chairman of the General Assembly as well as of the congresses and seminars. He has the duty to organize together with his national federation the next international congress in his country.    

General Assembly

The General Assembly consists of as many members as there are national members in the Office. The representative of each national member has the right to vote.

The General Assembly lays down the general policy of the Office. 

Executive board

The executive board consists of five members including the treasurer plus the President of the Office if he is not an elected member of the executive board. They are elected by the General Assembly. To see the present executive board click here.

Congresses 

The congress of the Office is organized every three years. The congress has a minimum length of two days. It is organized by the national federation in the country of which it will be held

The congress aims:

  • at making the purposes of the Office better known in Europe both to the population and the national, European and international organizations;
  • at discussing technical and general subjects of interest for our movement in a larger assembly, leisure gardeners and experts and adopting relating resolutions;
  • to inform the national delegations of leisure gardeners on the activities and the financial situation of the Office and to get their ideas. These ideas should be discussed by the General Assembly in its coming meeting. The national federations inform the petitioner on the result of these discussions.  

Seminars and Study Sessions

Seminars and study session are organized between the congresses and aim among other things at preparing the coming congresses.
